Jacob Mikalov is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department. His areas of practice consist of employment law and wage and hour laws under both the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and applicable Ohio laws. Jacob also assists the firm with personal injury, product liability, and premises liability cases.
Jacob received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester. Before going to law school, Jacob played professional basketball in Israel for the basketball clubs Hapoel Haifa and Ironi Nahariya. Upon returning to the United States, Jacob attended Capital University Law School and quickly joined Barkan Meizlish DeRose Cox, LLP as a law clerk in his 1L year.
In his spare time, Jacob enjoys playing basketball, golf, and engaging with the Columbus Jewish community. You will also find him cheering on all Columbus and Cleveland sports teams. Jacob resides in Westerville with his wife, Julie.
