Volkswagen and Audi recently announced that it is recalling its “clean diesel” automobiles, which are the vehicles with 4-cylinder turbo diesel engines, which were fitted with technology that the Environmental Protection Agency (“the EPA”) calls a “deliberate attempt to evade rules on emissions.”
The EPA claimed that the following vehicle models have software that can detect when an emissions test is being performed, and conceal the vehicles’ emission of the pollutant nitrogen oxide. According to Wired Magazine, the recall fix can potentially impact the cars’ “performance, fuel economy, and trunk space …. and future resale value.” If you own one of these diesel vehicles, we would like to speak with you.
