Chris Peifer is a partner in the Labor and Employment Law Practice with extensive experience representing both public and private sector labor organizations. Prior to joining Barkan Meizlish, Chris served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, practiced criminal law and civil law, including labor law with other law firms and was a staff attorney with a labor organization.
Chris represents and advises labor organizations in the private sector within the airline, trucking, warehouse, telecommunications, and government contracting industries, among others. Chris also represents and advises labor organizations in the public sector to include federal, state and municipal administrative employees, and firefighters, among others. His work with labor organizations includes organizing, collective bargaining, contract administration, arbitration, litigation in federal and state courts and agencies, and counsel on the myriad of legal and non-legal issues that arise daily. He serves as general counsel to an airline labor organization.
He received his law degree from University of Dayton School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio, the United States District Courts in Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
